Fall Family Style

Fall is here! Family portrait season is upon us. Besides making sure everybody is well rested, trimmed and curled, make sure to remember that styling is just as important. Take a look at our suggestions below. Whether you are going for a vintage, romantic, contemporary, traditional or casual feel you can follow a few simple rules.

1. Mix and match colors and textures. Think, denim with khaki, add sweaters and button ups, wool and cashmere! 

2. Pick a color palette! Choose 3 to 4 colors and go from there... say mustard, teal, denim and gray or navy, white, khaki and coral. 

3. Accessorize! From earrings, boots, boat shoes, necklaces, scarves and hats... bring em!

4. Stay away from busy patterns, logos, numbers etc.

Maddy

Back finally with a Summer Senior session! Okay so it took Kedra hours to go through Maddy's shots and then me  equally as long to pick the from the finished images for the blog... not kidding! Not only is Maddy totally gorgeous but she is equally as beautiful on the inside. Maddy is a 2013 Senior from Alexandria, Minnesota.  For her session we hung out in Mears Park in downtown St Paul fand then headed to Harriet Island to finish it out. Kedra was able to push through Bronchitis for Maddy's session this past June to get these gorgeous images.These portraits absolutely take my breath away. Congratulations Maddy & enjoy your senior year!

Ethan

 Here is a look at Ethan's 6 month portraits done in St Paul this past May. Ethan was one of our happiest babies to date. The smiles and expressions were endless! It was obvious from the start of his session his parents totally adore him and each other. This family definitely has a lot of fun together and we are super excited to see Mr.Ethan again soon.

Leila

Sweet little Leila was just a doll at her newborn session. This wasn't your typical newborn session here mom and dad were super laid back it felt a more like a newborn lifestyle session. We love how simple and at home the family portraits feel.  We had fun playing with our vintage carriage and there awesome chair. Welcome to the world little Leila!

Quinn

Here is our sweet love bug Quinn! At 8 months old she is just starting to cruise around and loves chatting with her mama. We love these pictures it just goes to show great photos can be taken anywhere and you don't need the perfect outfit. Love ya Quinny!

Madeline

This was our third shoot with the S family, you probably remember big brother Will from his one and two year sessions. This time it was all about his baby sister, Madeline. Maddy was just 7 days old at her first Baby Love session and she definitely let us know who was in charge :)  When we saw Maddy's birth photos we seriously jumped for joy seeing all her gorgeous dark hair. Such a fun time S family, congratulations on your new little bundle. We cannot wait for our next session with your little doll!
